We use the finest, fresh grapes imported in-season from California, Italy and Chile for a variety of fresh flavors. All of our wine is crafted in our temperature-controlled winery for the freshest quality taste.

The first 2 visits to wineUdesign are scheduled during the Grape harvest seasons available in either Fall (Northern Hemisphere) or Spring (Southern Hemisphere). Your grapes will arrive to the Winery by climate controlled transportation and you will come to operate our Grape Crusher within 72 hours of arrival. Your 2nd visit is exactly 1 week later when you will see our wine press in action. At this time,you will taste your very young wine before we get it into a sealed barrel or tank to get ready for aging and clarification.
We will invite you back to the winery after approximately 5 months to taste your wine directly from the barrel. It’s a simple visit without any mechanical equipment or physical labor required from you.
Then just 5 or 6 more months of aging in barrel and we’ll be ready for you to come bottle your wine and take it home. You will have the opportunity to make your own personalized labels for your allocation of bottles and you will take those home with your wine to apply to the bottles at your own pace.

One of the best parts of making wine is deciding how to name your tasty vintage. wineUdesign offers many labels for you to provide your own name and words to personalize the label. These are available to all our winemakers at no additional cost.

That’s a third-party business and we trust them to do business directly with you.
The majority of our wines are made in 200L American Oak barrels. Those will produce 240 bottles (20 cases). There are some special projects and premium style wines that we offer in French Oak barrels. Those are slightly bigger and can produce over 270 bottles. Our Private Barrel groups are in full control of how those cases are split up amongst the group.
You can join our Community Barrel with just 2 people and make up to 3 cases of wine. Great experience without committing to 20 cases.
Our Private Barrel groups are limited to 10 people per barrel. We think the ideal group size is 4 or 5 people or couples. For the amount of effort to organize this experience and the amount of time your wine will age, we expect you will want at least 4 cases of your wine to enjoy.
Most of our tasty wines can be made in the $17 – $24 per bottle range. Don’t hesitate to ask us about our access to fruit from a range of premium vineyards in California. With a French Oak barrel and extended aging, these bottles can be had for under $40/bottle.
wineUdesign is a Winery, not a Vineyard. We’ve worked tirelessly over the years to solidify great relationships with vineyards in California primarily, but also Chile & South Africa. The ability to pick and choose from many vineyards on multiple continents allows us an advantage that many fixed winery/vineyard operations do not enjoy. We can follow Mother Nature to pieces of property where she has been most generous and grab a small sliver of their sunshine to give us a winemaking advantage that very few operations can hang their hat on. For most of you, No. Restaurants can engage with us to make a private label wine and those who have a Wholesalers license with the proper State Authorities can engage with us in Custom Crush projects. These licenses can take quite a bit of effort to get. We are not attorneys, so please consult with someone you trust.

We’re thrilled to introduce One Perfect Blend. In a series of public classes offered through our online calendar, you can try your hand at blending a unique bottle of wine. It’s a guided experience and we’ll give you all the tools you need.
Great question. We blend only red wine at wineUdesign. We’ve been making wine in surplus for years to prepare for this series of classes. Each class type will work with 3 wines.
Our California Bordeaux class will feature Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah or possibly even Carmenere.
Our Tuscan Style class will feature Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. There’s no limit to how many killer combinations you can make with those 3.
The Chilean Malbec Blend class will feature Malbec, of course, as well as Syrah and Merlot.
A Zinfandel based class will also be released onto the schedule.
No, wineUdesign does not have a kitchen or a full bar or a waitstaff. As part of your ticket price to One Perfect Blend, Patrizia’s will prepare an item for you to enjoy with our wines. You will select that during the booking process, also a box of tasting chocolates has been included as an option, thank you to Aigner Chocolates. The selected items will be delivered right before your class time and will be waiting for you in the tasting room before you enter the Barrel Room! Available for you at no charge during the blending classes will be water and breadsticks to help improve your ability to taste and differentiate between the wines offered.
You will taste each of the 3 varietals featured for the event and then as many as 4 different trial blends made by you. It’s a good amount of wine…water and breadsticks will be available to help preserve your palate. You are certainly not required to finish each tasting.
Blending Classes: One Perfect Blend is geared towards adults
Winemaking Experiences: All ages are acceptable for winemaking experiences, but please discuss first with our team and make sure you know the equipment that is used in the winemaking process.
Blending Classes: Plan on 2 Hours, give or take a bit depending on class size.
Winemaking Experiences: Crushing, Pressing and Bottling each take about an Hour, maybe an Hour and Fifteen depending on group size. The Mid-Season Tasting is a short 20 minute tasting from your barrel(s).
We don’t discriminate…White, Red, Orange, it doesn’t matter to us. We have an awesome Sauvignon Blanc here that our team makes specifically for your enjoyment. True to the saying that opposites attract, a lot of White Wine Drinkers find themselves mixed up with Red Wine Drinkers.
Be comfortable and casual. wineUdesign climate control is generally kept between 66 and 69 degrees depending on time of day. If that sounds cold, you might want to bring a warm layer just in case.
We will be working and pouring multiple wines at multiple times. Mistakes do happen and wine is not easy to get out of most fabrics. I’m sure you can look great without wearing your Sunday Best.
Probably not, but what a show of love and solidarity if you join your wine loving friends out for something they love. True team player. At the very least you’ll learn something useful. With a little bit of luck you’ll find that our wine is much different than most wines you’ve been forced to try, you’ll ultimately get the wine bug, build a cellar in your basement and have to make barrels of wine every year!

A lot of coordination and team players are involved in offering our winemaking and wine blending classes…They can’t always be there.
