Sunday Sauced at Cirella's Restaurant Bar

Sunday Sauced at Cirella's Restaurant Bar in Melville combines two things Long Island does right: authentic Italian food and hands-on wine experiences. Blend your own wine alongside family-style Italian dishes from the restaurant that's been serving Long Island since 1987.

This isn't your typical wine tasting. You're creating custom blends, eating generous portions of Cirella's classics, and spending 2.5 hours actually learning something. Four times a year. Limited seating.

I have always been interested in learning a little about the wine making process. Found this place on a google search last year and have been a loyal patron every since. I participated in the community cask and looking forward to the bottling of the wine next month. Enjoyed the wine blending class (Valentine's day - romantic and something different) and regularly purchase wine for casual drinking. The wine is low sulfate so those prone to headaches will appreciate that aspect. And the staff (including the owner!!) are actually fun to hang with and are open to questions about the wine and the wine making process and never make you feel that you are "inconvenient." In all really a great experience and they do have many varietals of wine to taste and purchase. Highly recommend a visit

What is Sunday Sauced?

Sunday Sauced happens every quarter at Cirella's Restaurant Bar in Melville–four times a year, 4pm-9pm on select Sundays. wineUdesign brings wine blending stations to the restaurant. Cirella's brings their family-style Italian menu.

You'll taste different wine varietals, learn how they complement each other, then create your own blend to take home. Between tastings? You're eating. A lot. Cirella's is known for generous portions, and they don't hold back for this event.

Here's what makes it work: the restaurant's been rated #1 in Melville for a reason. The wine education is real (not just sipping and nodding). And the whole thing feels more like a dinner party than a formal event.

Why Cirella's Restaurant Bar Hosts Sunday Sauced

Cirella's Restaurant Bar has been Long Island's go-to Italian spot since 1988 years of family-run hospitality in Melville. They've hosted business dinners, family celebrations, and date nights for decades. Sunday Sauced fits right in.

The restaurant's known for authentic Italian dishes, fresh sushi (yes, really–they pioneered Italian-sushi fusion on Long Island), and an atmosphere that makes regulars feel like family. Adding wine blending education to their Sunday nights? Natural fit.

Plus, their bar stays open late. If you want to linger after the 2.5-hour event, nobody's rushing you out.

Next Sunday Sauced Dates

Sunday Sauced runs quarterly at Cirella's Restaurant Bar, 14 Broadhollow Road, Melville, NY. Check our calendar for the next date, these sessions fill fast with just 30 spots available.

Can't make it? Call Cirella's at 631-385-7380 or wineUdesign at 516-939-9463. We'll add you to the waitlist for the next quarter's event.

Already a Cirella's regular? You know what to expect from the food. The wine blending part? That's new. But knowing this restaurant, they wouldn't partner with us if it wasn't worth your Sunday evening.
